Edinburgh property investment company’s unique marketing approach goes viral

Video marketing technology and commercial property agents are not phrases that normally go hand-in-hand.
However, an Edinburgh-based property investment specialist has married the two by piloting a unique marketing approach that is already gaining significant web traffic.
SRA Ventures – founded and owned by Scots entrepreneur Shaf Rasul – is breaking the mould by exploiting new channels to market a currently vacant site in the capital’s Sighthill area.
In conjunction with property agents Graham and Sibbald, it filmed and developed video content which is gaining major online traction through property agents all across Scotland sharing it online.
The innovative breaking news-style trailer is being used to showcase the availability of its Bankhead Industrial Estate unit – and the short clip has quickly gone viral.
Promoting further interest, SRA Ventures is also uniquely offering a £12,000 finder’s fee incentive package that is open to all agents.
It is calling on agents whose clients may be interested in renting the recently refurbished 8,500 square foot property in Bankhead Crossway North to contact them, with the landlords then paying the finder’s fee to those that can secure a tenant.
Shaf Rasul believes that the high-impact marketing approach represents an attractive and exciting way of doing business with wide benefits for all parties involved.
He said: “We think this is an eye-catching and interesting method of capturing market interest with huge potential possibilities for the future.
“We are simply looking to promote the features of an excellent property to the widest possible audience, in turn capturing the imagination of tech-savvy tenants and property agents alike.
“In other words, we are effectively taking an opportunity to them, instead of waiting for them to come to us. With a further total of £12,000 in incentives awaiting those that can secure a let, we think it’s a very effective way of bringing tenant and property together.”
Jon Steele, Surveyor for Graham and Sibbald, said: “We have been blown away by the results of this viral campaign, and have already had a number of very positive enquiries.
“Agents have been contacting us to say that colleagues have forwarded the video to them. The response has been infinitely better than a normal campaign, and has far exceeded our expectations.”
SRA Ventures is part of the E-net Group of companies which has evolved over the past two decades. Historic interests include IT and technology distribution, brand management, retail, e-commerce, and significant shareholdings within major UK Plcs and privately-owned businesses.
SRA Ventures currently owns and manages a substantial Scottish commercial portfolio which includes industrial, retail and mixed use assets.
